چکیده
Disturbance/discomfort caused by vibrations, induced pedestrian walking on slabs in residential/office buildings, is a typical design issue for lightweight slender slabs, including prestressed concrete ones. Precast are typically made with pretensioned members which allow only partial collaboration the transverse slab direction, becomes even less effective when they dry-assembled without cast-in-situ topping since it relies arrangement of mutual mechanical connections only. This study investigates through tests and numerical analyses response precast long-span voided members, connections, subjected to vibrations generated human activities. A parametric set dynamic modal time-history encompassing floor member geometry, connection arrangement, mass, damping, carried out. The models validated against results from an experimental test program out two decks prototype building. allowed characterize fundamental properties its vibrational performance, identifying most efficient technological solutions among those investigated mitigate human-induced

Calculation of Voided Slabs Rigidities
A theoretical study of the rigidities of slabs with circular voids oriented in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction is discussed. Equations are presented for predicting the bending and torsional rigidities of the voided slabs. This paper summarizes the results of an extensive literature search and initial review of the current methods of analyzing voided slab. The various methods of...
متن کاملCOMPARATIVE COSTS OF THE PRODUCTION, TRANSPORT AND ASSEMBLY STAGES OF PRESTRESSED PRECAST SLABS USING GENETIC ALGORITHMS
In the precast structures, optimization of structural elements is of great interest mainly due to a more rationalized way that elements are produced. There are several elements of precast prestressed concrete that are objects of study in optimization processes, as the prestressed joist applied in buildings slabs. This article inquires into cost minimization of continuous and simply supported sl...
متن کاملExperimental Study on Precast Concrete Shear Walls with Different Hollow Slabs
To study mechanical behaviors of shear walls built with precast two-way hollow slabs, two shear walls with different details of hollow slabs were quasi-statically tested under low cyclic loading. The failure mode was analyzed, which vertical macro-cracks appeared on walls due to the details of hollow slabs. Brittle shear failure can be avoided in terms of the failure behaviors evolved from inte...
متن کاملInvestigation of vortex-induced vibration phenomenon in verticallong circular slender structure with non-uniform flows
Analyzing the vortex-induced vibration of a slender marine structure withlength to diameter ratio up to 200 is the objective of this study. This slender is free to move in both in-line and cross flow directions and immersed completely in water. Three different types of shear currents pass on it and cause to vibrate slender in different forms. Nowadays, these vibrations are very important for de...
متن کاملMinimizing the excitation of parasitic modes of vibration in slender power ultrasonic devices
The design of slender power ultrasonic devices can often be challenging due to the excitation of parasitic modes of vibration during operation. The excitation of these modes is known to manifest from behaviors such as modal coupling which if not controlled or designed out of the system can, under operational conditions, lead to poor device performance and device failure. However, a report publi...
